PALS/PRISM Software Design Description (SDD): Ver. 0.51
This Software Design Description (SDD) provides detailed information on the architecture and coding for the PRISM C++ library (version 0.51). The PRISM C++ library supports consistent information sharing and in- teractions between distributed components of networked embedded systems, e.g. avionics. It is designed to reduce the complexity of the networked sys- tem by employing synchronous semantics provided by the architectural pat- tern called a Physically-Asynchronous Logically-Synchronous (PALS) system.unpublishednot peer reviewe
Uniqueness and uniform structural stability of Poiseuille flows with large fluxes in two-dimensional strips
In this paper, we prove the uniform nonlinear structural stability of
Poiseuille flows with suitably large flux for the steady Navier-Stokes system
in a two-dimensional strip with arbitrary period. Furthermore, the
well-posedness theory for the Navier-Stokes system is also proved even when the
-norm of the external force is large. In particular, if the vertical
velocity is suitably small where the smallness is independent of the flux, then
Poiseuille flow is the unique solution of the steady Navier-Stokes system in
the periodic strip. The key point is to establish uniform a priori estimates
for the corresponding linearized problem via the boundary layer analysis, where
we explore the particular features of odd and even stream functions. The
analysis for the even stream function is new, which not only generalizes the
previous study for the symmetric flows in \cite{Rabier1}, but also provides an
explicit relation between the flux and period.Comment: arXiv admin note: substantial text overlap with arXiv:2011.0746
Finite element method for obtaining the regularized photon Green function in lossy material
Photon Green function (GF) is the vital and most decisive factor in the field
of quantum light-matter interaction. It is divergent with two equal space
arguments in arbitrary-shaped lossy structure and should be regularized. We
introduce a finite element method for calculating the regularized GF. It is
expressed by the averaged radiation electric field over the finite-size of the
photon emitter. For emitter located in homogeneous lossy material, excellent
agreement with the analytical results is found for both real cavity model and
virtual cavity model. For emitter located in a metal nano-sphere, the
regularized scattered GF, which is the difference between the regularized GF
and the analytical regularized one in homogeneous space, agrees well with the
analytical scattered GF
Distribution, pathogenicity and disease control of Fusarium tricinctum
Plant pathogenic fungi such as Fusarium tricinctum cause various plant diseases worldwide, especially in temperate regions. In cereals, F. tricinctum is one of the most common species causing Fusarium head blight (FHB) and root rot. Infection with F. tricinctum results in high yield losses and reduction in quality, mainly due to mycotoxin contamination of grain. Mycotoxins produced by F. tricinctum, such as enniatins (ENs) and moniliformin (MON), which are the most studied mycotoxins, have been reported to have multiple toxic effects on humans and animals. Although chemical control of Fusarium infection has been applied to grains, it is not always effective in controlling disease or reducing the level of mycotoxins in wheat grains. To the contrary, chemical control may significantly increase infection of F. tricinctum in fungicide-treated plots after treatment. Our studies show that the bacterium Bacillus amyloliquefaciens, has good control effects against F. tricinctum. Therefore, its use as a biological control agent against various plant pathogens may be an effective strategy to control the spread of Fusarium pathogens. Here, we conduct a review of the literature involving this plant pathogen, its diversity, virulence, and methods to control
